Among the multi-functional premises that Satariano worked on is the Westin Dragonara in St. Julian's, which was completed in record time. Satariano's input into the project increased significantly as the project progressed. A project coordinator was left on-site throughout the duration of the project.

Satariano were there for nine months during which they laid mosaics, supplied and tiled 320 bathrooms, supported the completion of the Reef Club and Palio's, tiled and landscaped the main pool, main kitchens and stores, the administration block, staff canteen, kids club, and the royal beach club terrace.

There were up to 50 men working on site, who laid over 15,000 square metres of tiles. The remarkable aspect about this project was that Satariano were simultaneously handling another four major projects that were progressing at the same pace as the Westin.

Mark Portelli, director and project coordinator at the Westin, had the following to say about Satariano: "We knew they could deliver because they've done it before. The Westin, at 45,000 square metres, is probably the largest public building in Malta. Westin only put their name on an operation if it meets their exacting international standards. We knew Satariano could deliver and with a company like Westin you have to get it right first time around. There are no second chances. That's why Satariano's track record is so important.

Work to high specifications set by Westin was less of a problem for Satariano since Ideal Standard is used throughout the Westin chain of hotels worldwide. The Westin Dragonara has to compete internationally at every level; design, materials, and finishing, and only contractors with experience of international hotel chains can give us the confidence we need to execute our plans."
