The origins of what today constitutes PORCELANOSA Grupo go back to 1973, the year which marks the foundation of PORCELANOSA, S.A. This company was created by a group of professionals with long-standing experience in the ceramic tile and commercial sector, who right from the very start were committed to a solid entrepreneurial strategy based on innovation and creativity in product quality and design as well as in sales and marketing. Staying true to this strategy and following a carefully planned expansion policy enabled the creation and consolidation of the six companies that, together with the first, today comprise PORCELANOSA Grupo.
Thus, starting up operations in 1987 were VENIS and GAMADECOR, with the former specialising in the manufacture of ceramic wall and floor tiles and porcelain tiles, and GAMADECOR focusing on the design and manufacture of bathroom and kitchen furnishings, mirrors and accessories.
Later, in 1993, SYSTEM-POOL was set up. This is a company that designs, manufactures and commercialises shower-sauna cubicles, whirlpool baths, screens, columns and spas.L’ANTIC COLONIAL was created in 1999 with the objective of producing and commercialising ceramic and terracotta floor tiles, natural stone, marble, slate and handcrafted tiles.
Two new companies have recently joined PORCELANOSA Grupo: BUTECH, a manufacturer of adhesives and other high-tech building materials, and NOKEN, a company that specialises in the manufacture and commercialisation of taps, sanitaryware, radiators, bathroom accessories and furnishings, in order to offer Porcelanosa Showrooms products with superb quality and design.
Nevertheless, its chief aim is to provide commercial backing to each one of the companies that comprise it. This task is channelled through its Sales Department, which works closely with our distribution network and helps to give the products of PORCELANOSA Grupo the best possible exposure nationally as well as internationally.
